Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Nephrology Clinic in Waterloo, IA. The role supports daily clinical operations and patient care, including preparation, vital signs, and basic procedures, as well as documentation and patient flow management. Licensed or certified MA preferred with LPN option in Iowa.

Qualifications

• Must have completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred before hire and required within one year.
• OR must have completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing administrative and clinical tasks.
• Assists physicians and other healthcare providers in patient care, including patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow, maintains accurate medical records, and ensures a positive patient experience.
