Job summary

Southwest Kidney Institute, part of the Panoramic Health network, seeks passionate NP or PA to join its nephrology team in Tucson, AZ. Training will support a smooth transition into dialysis care with professional growth opportunities.

No weekend or on-call duties are required. You’ll collaborate with physicians to manage dialysis units, build panels, and serve a diverse patient population with bilingual support being helpful.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or PA studies with recognized clinical preparation and required hour standards per program requirements.
• Competencies in advanced health assessment, physical examination, diagnosis, planning, and managing care including pharmacotherapeutics.
• Provide nursing/PA expertise in diagnosing and treating to improve patient outcomes.
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques including taking medical histories and documenting care.
• Dialysis or nephrology background encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe and dispense medications when granted authority by state licensure.
• Collect, order, and interpret labs and diagnostic studies under agreed protocols.
• Take comprehensive health histories and perform full physical examinations; develop plans of care.
• Provide client and/or family education on care and treatment options.
• Coordinate referrals and/or consultations when appropriate; participate in research as requested.
• Provide leadership to clinical staff and ensure cost-effective delivery of care.
