Job summary

UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, a member of University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a BE/BC Nephrologist to join a well-established practice in Easton, MD.

The role covers inpatient and outpatient care with a Monday-Thursday 8 am–4:30 pm schedule, Friday 8 am–3 pm, and hospital call 1:4. J1 waiver and H1B visa support available; generous compensation includes sign-on or housing allowance, relocation assistance, and production bonus.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland medical license required.
• Board certification in nephrology required.
• DEA or similar narcotics certification required.
• Appropriate clinical privileges at a UMMS affiliated facility.
• Meets CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
• Qualifies and experienced to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient nephrology services.
• Develop comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plans for patients.
• Participate in hospital on-call rotations and weekend coverage.
• Engage in local outreach and education programs as part of patient care.

UM Shore Nephrologists provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plans for our patients on Maryland's eastern shore. Our physicians and nurse practitioners have been recognized for their innovative patient service programs and for actively engaging in local outreach efforts to implement education programs that encourage early dete4ction and treatments of renal disease.

Qualifications

• Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.
• Possesses and maintains current Board Certification within practicing specialty required
• Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
• Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
• Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
• Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.

Job Specifics

• Work Schedule: weekdays, rotating weekends, some holidays and on-call.
• Monday-Thursday 8 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 8am-3pm

Annual salary: $349,180 . "The posted compensation reflects the range based on current median MGMA and SullivanCotter benchmarks. Actual compensation will be commensurate with the physician's experience, training, and qualifications"

Other Compensation : generous sign-on package, including your choice of a $20,000-$25,000 sign-on bonus or a $50,000 housing allowance toward the purchase of a home in your first year. We also offer relocation assistance up to $10,000 and a competitive production bonus- all designed to support your transition and long-term success.
