Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient nephrology care including evaluation and management of Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension, and Electrolyte disorders.
• Manage dialysis patients in outpatient dialysis centers.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EPIC.
• Support patient education and preventative kidney health initiatives.

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Nephrologist to join El Camino Health Medical Network. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive kidney care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with strong operational support.

The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality care, building long-term patient relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of the nephrology department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient nephrology care including evaluation and management of:
  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
  • Hypertension
  • Electrolyte disorders
  • Glomerular diseases
  • Acute kidney injury follow-up
• Manage dialysis patients in outpatient dialysis centers (if applicable)
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EPIC
• Support patient education and preventative kidney health initiatives
• Primarily outpatient setting
• Integrated care model with access to:
  • Primary Care
  • Cardiology
  • Endocrinology
• Dedicated clinical and administrative support staff
• Predictable clinic schedule
• Limited or shared call responsibilities (details to be discussed)

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
• Active and eligible for California medical license
• DEA certification
