About Us

We now see patients at over 20 office locations, provide care within all Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky health systems, operate a transplant center located within The Christ Hospital, and have two dialysis access surgical centers as we strive to meet all the needs of our patients. At KHC, we provide comprehensive kidney care because we care.

Position Overview

The physician works under indirect supervision, providing and managing direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specific patient population.

Responsibilities include:
  • Examining patients, taking medical histories, addressing patients' concerns, and answering patients' questions.
  • Diagnosing and treating injuries, illnesses, and disorders.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and explaining the results to patients.
  • Updating patients' charts and information to reflect current findings and treatments, and counseling patients on diet, hygiene, preventative healthcare, and lifestyle changes.
  • Recommending and designing treatment plans.
  • Prescribing medications or therapies.
  • Explaining medical procedures to patients.
  • Consulting with other physicians, referring patients to specialists when necessary, and collaborating with healthcare staff such as nurses and assistants.
  • Complying with medical laws (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Performing other duties as required, assigned, or requested.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree and successful completion of a residency and internship.
  • State license and certification to practice medicine.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Compassion and empathy to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues, with a willingness to stay updated on advancements in the field.
