Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (science or human services preferred) or High School Diploma with interpreting experience.
• 1–2 years interpreting experience.
• Certification and Registration; 40 hours Medical Interpreter Training.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle; travel to sites including Springfield Behavioral Health Network-Liberty Street.
• Willingness to work some weekend/evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Work as an integral Care Team member; facilitate communication between patient and health care system.
• Interpret with accuracy in consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation modes; assess understanding.
• Support patients in navigating the health care system and accessing care; maintain cultural sensitivity.
