Neonatology Physician Job with Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN

Join the Division of Neonatology at Riley Children's Hospital, Indiana University Health, as we expand our Perinatal Genomics program. This innovative program, founded in 2021, aims to provide personalized genomic care for our most vulnerable NICU patients, with at least 40% exhibiting symptoms of genetic disease and 12% having confirmed diagnoses.

Riley Hospital for Children serves as the primary referral center for level IV NICU care in Indiana. Following the program's success, Indiana University Health is extending genomic care services across the state.

Research and Clinical Opportunities

• Genomic care through the continuum from prenatal to NICU to home
• Discovery of undiagnosed genetic diseases and phenotype expansion
• Genomic education for providers and families
• Implementing genomic care in level III NICUs
• Telehealth services for genomic NICU care
• Studying parental understanding and use of genomic information
• Addressing ethical challenges in using genetic data for critically ill neonates
• Using pharmacogenomic data in NICU treatments
• Defining childhood outcomes for NICU graduates with genetic diseases
