Job description

Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin is seeking a BC/BE Neonatologist to join our well-established inpatient practice at Marshfield Children's Hospital. The ideal candidate is eager to participate in a multi-specialty group practice that provides patient-centered, evidence-based care. You will be one of four Neonatologists covering weekday rounds and weeknight/weekend call. The average daily census is 15 patients, split between two Neonatologists for weekday rounds. The call schedule is approximately 1:4, with physicians taking home call. Transfers are managed by our in-house NICU transport team. Our NICU has been a member of the Vermont Oxford Network since its inception. Neonatologists cover 26 weeks of NICU service, including 13 weekends and 52 weeknights.

Marshfield Children's Hospital

Our 56-bed Children's Hospital is Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital and one of only four in Wisconsin. It features the latest technology, over 40 pediatric specialties, and board-certified pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists. Certified child life specialists provide emotional support to children during their hospital stay. The hospital includes a 24-bed Level 3 NICU with 24/7 neonatology support, a newborn nursery, an 8-bed PICU with continuous pediatric intensivist support, and 26 pediatric beds, including 8 Heme-Onc positive pressure rooms. Marshfield Children's is an ACS-verified Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Program and a member of the Children's Oncology Group (COG).
