The Division of Neonatology at Cincinnati Children’s is recruiting an Assistant Professor—Clinical.

This role focuses on patient care, teaching, service, and scholarly activity within neonatology.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care – Provide safe, effective, and compassionate care; contribute to clinical service; develop local recognition; document patient care; implement innovative approaches; provide disease‑specific expert consultation; examine and coordinate services; perform procedures, collect and analyze data; formulate and maintain patient‑specific plans; monitor therapeutic management; promote patient care outcomes.
• Teaching and Training – Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows; serve as a role model and mentor; participate in educational opportunities; develop curriculum and teaching materials; serve on committees; provide lectures and bedside teaching; maintain currency through continuing education.
• Service and/or Administration – Participate in service or administration; contribute to program development; provide consultation on program development; participate in performance improvement; serve on committees; provide faculty coverage; promote teamwork and goals; complete evaluations.
• Scholarly Activity – Design and conduct clinical research; publish findings; present internally; recommend improvement activities; collect and measure data; assist in obtaining funding.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent.
• Unrestricted licensed physician; approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division; completion of all pre‑employment activities.
• Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility.
• Preferred: Board certification.
• Experience may be required based on department needs.
• Clinicians may work at locations outside the Burnet Campus.
