Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a 3 Neonatologist/6 NNP team in a 32-bed Level III NICU in Boise. The role includes high-risk delivery coverage, NICU management, and collaborative rounds with Neonatology.

Ideal candidates are NNPs with RN/APRN licensure and board certification; Idaho licensure and privileges at SARMC – Boise and SAMC - Nampa are required. A strong commitment to evidence-based care and teaching staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner Program with current RN and APRN licensure.
• Current national board certification as NNP desired; Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC – Boise and SAMC - Nampa.
• Current DEA and controlled substances license; Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC – Boise and SAMC - Nampa.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions.
• Co-manage NICU patients with the attending Neonatologist and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with the Neonatologist in the NICU by providing active management strategies.
