Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Groupis seeking aBoard-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologistto join our collaborative team atHenrico Doctors’ Hospital (HDH)in Richmond, Virginia. This is your chance to practice in astate-of-the-art 40-bed Level III NICUwith a supportive, experienced team and a schedule designed forwork-life balance.

Your Role
  • Staffing Model: 6 full-time Neonatologists
    • Day coverage: 2 Neonatologists (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
    • Night coverage: 1 in-house Neonatologist (5:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Transport: Nurse-driven team with physician oversight (avg. 15 transports/year)
  • Procedures & Services:
    • High-frequency ventilation (HFOV & HFJV)
    • Inhaled nitric oxide
    • Therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG
    • Pediatric surgical patients
    • No ECMO or cardiac surgery (except PDA ligations)
2025 NICU Stats (YTD through April)
  • NICU Admissions: 130
  • NICU Average Daily Census (ADC): 14.3
  • Nursery ADC: 24.2
