Job summary

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital seeks a Neonatal Physician Assistant to join its Pediatric Neonatology team in a busy Level III NICU. One year of NICU APP experience or completion of a neonatology fellowship is required.

Eligible candidates may enroll in the APP Neonatology Fellowship Program for onboarding and education. The role offers a $30,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, CME allowance, and ongoing professional development support.

Qualifications

• 1 year level III or IV NICU PA experience OR completion of a 9-month neonatology fellowship.
• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Eligible for PA licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine.
• BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire per AHA standards.
• NRP certification meeting AAAP standards within 30 days of hire.
• ECMO competence required within 1 year of hire.
• Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 FBI clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, fellows, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in delivery room management, procedures, and family-centered care.
• Contribute to a mission-driven culture focused on life-changing medicine.
