Job summary

Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-acuity care in a Level IV NICU, PICU and CF Center. You will manage ultra-protective ventilation, participate in trauma resuscitations, and collaborate on ECMO management for ELBW infants.

The role includes potential NICU/PICU critical care transport training, direct collaboration with neonatologists, intensivists and ICU staff, and a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory care from an accredited program.
• Active Georgia state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in NICU/PICU.
• Operate HFOV/HFJV and manage advanced ventilation strategies.
• Deliver inhaled therapies including iNO; utilize Heliox as needed.
• Assist with ECMO management and inter-hospital transport readiness.
• Educate families and participate in rounds with ICU teams.
