Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Neonatal Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients within Women’s and Children’s services. You will manage ventilators, perform arterial blood gas sampling, and collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to ensure safe, evidence‑based care.

In this role, you will educate patients and families, document in the EMR, and participate in department improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a respiratory therapist with neonatal and pediatric expertise.
• Certification requirements include BLS, ACLS, PALS or higher ACCS/NPS or a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with arterial and capillary blood gas sampling and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapies for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in NICU, PICU, and related units.
• Manage ventilators and specialty devices with timely care.
• Participate in neonatal resuscitation, rapid response, and code teams.
