Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a casual/PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage at Mount Carmel East. The NNP will deliver primary or acute neonatal care in accordance with scope and standards of practice.

The selected candidate will cover 12-24 hour shifts as needed, maintain required certifications, and demonstrate leadership and teaching abilities in a collaborative team environment. This role offers flexible PRN scheduling within a respected health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing; OH RN licensure required.
• Niv Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program graduate; certification required.
• Master’s degree preferred; NNP certification required or in process.
• Maintains BLS, NRP, and Authority to practice as APN in Ohio.
• Two years of NNP experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PRN coverage for neonates at Mount Carmel East.
• Deliver primary or acute care per applicable scope and standards.

Job description

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a casual/PRN, experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage at Mount Carmel East, located in Columbus, Ohio.

The NNP provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

The selected NNP will be PRN and cover 12-24-hour shifts at Mount Carmel East.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing; Preferred Masters Degree; Graduate of a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Licensure / Certification: Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio; Holds Certificate of Authority for Advanced Practice Nursing in the State of Ohio; NCC certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner required.
• Maintains BLS, NRP and Certificate of Authority
• Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant NNP experience highly preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Has knowledge of Certificate to Prescribe.
• Demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
