Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, Illinois, is seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Level III NICU team at Carle Foundation Hospital. This PRN opportunity offers exposure to high-risk newborn care and a dedicated Neonatal and Perinatal transport team.

Join a growing team of 8 NPs and 6 Neonatologists in a 48-bed NICU with a 14-bed step-down unit, performing procedures such as intubation, lumbar punctures, PICC lines, umbilical catheterization, and chest tubes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or PA required.
• NICU APP Fellowship or NICU PA experience required.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries and perform NICU procedures.
• Collaborate with Neonatologists and NICU team.
• Provide round-the-clock coverage with RN team.

Carle Health is seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Level III NICU team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Opportunity Details

• PRN position
• Join a growing team of 8 Nurse Practitioners and 6 Neonatologists
• 48-bed NICU including a 14-bed step-down unit
• Dedicated 24-hour Neonatologist Physician team coverage
• 600+ admissions and 3000+ deliveries per year
• Attend high risk deliveries and perform standard NICU procedures such as: intubation, lumbar punctures, PICC lines, Umbilical Catheterization, and chest tubes
• Dedicated Neonatal and Perinatal air and ground transport team

Education Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
• PA applicants will need to have completed a NICU APP Fellowship or have previous experience practicing as a NICU PA

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse license. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification and licensure required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $83.23/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
