Job summary

Northwest Children's Hospital in Amarillo is collaborating with Pediatrix Medical Group to recruit a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for their Level III NICU. The team includes NNPs, Neonatologists, and a dedicated staff of RNs, RTs and therapists.

The NNP coverage model includes 24-hour shifts with a second NNP on day shift, averaging seven 24-hour shifts per month, and opportunities to attend high-risk deliveries. Competitive compensation and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • NNP experience preferred.
  • 3+ years NICU nursing experience for new NP grads.
  • Graduate of an approved, accredited nursing program.
  • Current Texas APRN license with Neonatal NP certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Board Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver neonatal care in a 35-bed Level III NICU.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries as assigned.
  • Perform procedures such as intubation and insertion of UVC/UAC/PICC lines.
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists and neonatologists.

Job Description

Northwest Children's Hospital in Amarillo is assisting our contracted neonatal intensivist group in recruiting a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for their practice in our the Level III NICU. The team consists of a close-knit group of NNPs and Neonatologists supported by a dedicated staff of RNs, RTs, occupational and physicial therapists, social workers, and breastfeeding specialists, each trained specifically to work with infants in the NICU.

Position Requirements
