Qualified candidates hold national certification (NNP/PNP or PA-C), Florida licensure upon hire, and AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• Current national certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care Certification or current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• Florida Licensure as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner required upon hire or Florida Licensure as a Physician Assistant required upon hire
• American Heart Association BLS required
• Experience working with Pediatrics required

Responsibilities

• Provide neurological care under supervision of attending Neurologist.
• Conduct parent interviews and collect family history.
• Collaborate with Neurologist on history, findings, diagnostics and treatment.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Casual/PRN (Finance)

Nemours Children's Health Pensacola is seeking a casual Neurology Advanced Practice Providers to help staff at the Emerald Coast location of Studer Family Children's Hospital.

Essential Functions:

• Manages and provides care for the patient requiring Neurology care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending Neurologist.
• Conducts parent interviews and takes family history.
• Collaborates with Neurologist concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions.
• Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient.
• Participates in meeting goals of the department.
• Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards.
• Participates in daily rounds.

Qualifications:

• Current national certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care Certification or current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
