Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for the Level III NICU at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, VA. Typical shifts are 7–8 per month, 16 hours each, with 24-hour in-house coverage.

The role emphasizes collaboration with neonatologists and OB hospitalists to deliver high-quality perinatal care. You will educate and mentor RN/RT teams as acuity evolves, participate in deliveries, and contribute to building a new NNP program in the community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
• APRN national specialty certification.
• Virginia NP license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house NNP coverage.
• Work with Neonatologists during the day; overnight coverage with 30-minute physician call backup.
• Attend deliveries and support a growing NICU service line.
• Educate and mentor RN/RT teams as acuity and volume evolve.
• Self-scheduling with approximately 1,944 hours per year.
