Job Description

Are you a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Fort Campbell, KY - Kentucky area? We are searching for a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal to support needs at the Fort Campbell located in Fort Campbell, KY - Kentucky. APPLY NOW!

Requirements:
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or provide a Certificate of Naturalization.
  • Degree: Master’s degree in nursing.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited institution in the nursing specialty of study that is accredited by a regional or national accrediting commission for education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Certification: Certified in the specialty required by the Topical Nursing Area (TOAS) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or by the National Nursing Certification Boards for the specialty area of practice. Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) at time of Credentialing. Recertifications only may be conducted on Space‑A availability at the MTF.
  • Experience: Required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service‑specific competency patient care procedures. Must demonstrate clinical competency within the past two years in the required clinical discipline.
  • License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
Duties:
  • Provide full, evidence‑based nursing practice services in accordance with the Military Treatment Facility, supervise and provide high quality and accurate patient care. Organize healthcare infrastructure with clinical governance, maintain integrity.
  • Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidence‑based lectures and participation in in‑service training to staff members.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with common conditions, chronic illnesses or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nursing Practice Acts and/or consultation with a physician.
  • Promote preventative care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self‑care through formal and individual education and counseling.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the health team of plans and actions, for teaching to benefit the patient/family and overall organization.
  • Recognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety.

Start date:

  • As soon as possible pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically 4-6 weeks after initiation).

Schedule:

NNPs will work 24‑hour shifts or 12‑hour shifts as needed. Example shifts are 07:00‑07:00, 07:00‑19:00, 19:00‑07:00.

Ability to commute:

  • Reliably transportation is required and expected for commuting to and from the work site.
