Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Neonatal PA/NP to provide competent medical care under supervision across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes rounds, notes, discharge summaries and procedures, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Required is a valid Neonatal NP or PA license, plus ACLS and related certifications as per clinical area. This position emphasizes teaching PA/NP students and adhering to NC medical/nursing board policies.

Qualifications

• Active PA/NP licensure required in NC.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Advanced Life Support may be required based on practice area.

Responsibilities

• Complete referrals, consults, daily patient rounds and notes.
• Discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, pre/post procedure care.
• Prescribe medications and patient care follow-ups.
• Educate PA/NP students and uphold regulatory guidelines.
