Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Neonatology practitioner to care for newborns in a busy Level III NICU. You will work independently and with a team of physicians and NICU nurses to promote health and prevent disease in infants and their families.

The role requires NP or PA training with Neonatal background; candidates should be prepared for 12-hour shifts and on-call availability as the team expands.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program
• Preference for Neonatal Practitioner certification
• New candidates will be considered with Neonatology background or NICU rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal care in a Level III NICU.
• Work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Input and interpret Vermont Oxford data.
• Care for newborns transitioning or acutely ill.
• Shift schedule includes 12-hour rotations (7-7) with day/night coverage.
