Job summary

The University of Utah Health is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to serve in the Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit as a clinician, educator, and consultant. This role includes clinical privileges, medication administration within scope, and education for nursing staff, NP students, and families.

You will collaborate with neonatology fellows, provide antenatal education, and support discharge planning for neonatal patients in a highly specialized environment.

Qualifications

• Current APRN and Controlled Substance licenses in Utah.
• Current NCC certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
• NRP instructor or provider status.
• DEA license with Utah practice address.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans and prioritizes clinical care in the NICU.
• Coordinate and evaluate NICU patient treatment with neonatology.
• Collaborates with consulting services to provide NICU care.
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for NP students.
• Educate families and staff about neonatal care and participate in rotations.
• Provide antenatal consultation and discharge summaries to referring providers.
