Job summary

Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our Level III NICU. PRN schedule with malpractice tail coverage. You will collaborate with neonatologists and nursing staff to develop and navigate comprehensive care plans for premature infants.

The role emphasizes rapid response, direct support during deliveries, and providing specialized consultations to mothers. Strong NICU skills and Wisconsin nurse practitioner credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

About The Facility

• Well established Level III NICU facility
• Approximately 1300 births a year.
• Average daily census of 5-8 infants. (Gets about 10% of hospital births)
• The NICU has seasoned nurses with 40 years of experience.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

Experienced Preferred.

Additional Preferences:

• Ability to resuscitate infants, intubate, umbilical lines, manage a ventilator/oscillator and chest tubes.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure, work independently, problem solve, and think on your feet.
