Job summary

Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead the NICU and related programs under general supervision, coordinating nurses, unit clerks and support staff to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care while maintaining compassionate family-centered practice.

You will supervise 24/7 operations, contribute to quality improvement, budget planning and policy development, and mentor staff to advance clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Registration and current licensure in the State of Texas as appropriate.
• BSN required, MSN preferred
• Certification in area of specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Organizes and directs the work of the NICU and programs; coordinates staff to assure that effective nursing services are provided, and quality standards are met.
• Supervises nursing staff and coordinates delivery of patient care for the NICU on a 24-hour basis.
• Oversees quality improvement programs and the NICU Department Quality Committee and contributes to policy development and staff education.
