Responsibilities

• Assesses health status of NICU patients and documents findings.
• Plans and implements individualized care with the care team.
• Initiates discharge planning with initial admission assessment.
• Directs care on the unit to ensure quality patient care.
• Educates patients and families and evaluates understanding.
• Documents assessments, plans of care, interventions and outcomes.
