Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is a nationally renowned teaching hospital in St. Louis. This RN role features 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation, full-time 36 hours per week, and weekend/holiday rotation as needed.

For RNs without Level IV NICU experience, February 2027 is the start date. A sign-on bonus is eligible for RNs with 2+ years of RN experience. The BJC RN Career Ladder offers pathways for progression, professional development, leadership, and education.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for progression.
• Two years of RN experience preferred for sign-on bonus eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on illness, home care needs and medications.
• Promotes patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops and documents plans of care with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
