Qualifications

Position: Clinical Nurse Coordinator Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Full-Time Night Shift 7P – 7A

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and manages unit functions during their shift. Collaborating with management, the CNC oversees nursing care, serves as a resource, and models the organization’s values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Create a teamwork environment supporting improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Implement nursing strategies to improve engagement, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
  • Provide input on hiring, training, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor costs according to patient needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Texas RN license or compact license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • NTD Cardiac Stable Module within 18 months.
  • Neonate Resuscitate within 6 months.
  • STABLE within 18 months.
  • At least two years of Level IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.
