Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University (Doernbecher Children’s Hospital) seeks a Clinical Faculty APP (NNP or PA) to provide high-quality neonatal ICU care. This 1.0 FTE position features 13-hour shifts and 144 annual direct patient care shifts, with night, weekend, and holiday coverage as defined by the contract.

The role requires active Oregon RN/APRN licensure, board certification, and participation in scheduling, departmental rounds, and multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level nursing or PA program; valid state licensure.
• Board certification in the chosen APRN specialty or NCCPA certification (PA).
• Active RN and APRN licensure in Oregon; current national certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver neonatal ICU care within APP scope per unit guidelines.
• Cover scheduled clinical shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Participate in scheduling, coverage planning, and equitable distribution of workload.
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents and fellows.
