Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced flight nurse to provide advanced critical care during air and ground transport. You will care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients with autonomy in a fast-paced transport environment.
The role requires a BSN and state nursing certification with ALS, BLS, PALS, and trauma care expertise. You will pursue CFRN and trauma certs within specified timelines and work in coordination with the transport team and physicians.
Job Description: Are you an experienced NICU nurse looking to take your expertise beyond the bedside? We are seeking nurses with 3+ years of Level III or Level IV NICU experience (preferred) to join our flight team and provide advanced critical care during air and ground transport. In this role, you'll care for critically ill newborns and pediatric patients while working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-acuity transport environment.
You’ll care for some of the most vulnerable patients at the moments they need expert care most. As a Flight Nurse, you’ll practice at the highest level of nursing, work alongside highly skilled transport professionals, and make a meaningful impact every day.
Must meet a pre‑hire weight of less than 216 lbs by interview and maintain weight restrictions within policy. Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and transferring patients and equipment. Manual dexterity for operating complex medical equipment and performing life‑saving procedures. Capability to work in confined spaces, high‑stress environments, and extreme conditions, including noise, vibration, temperature, and altitude. Ability to pass annual physical health assessments and maintain stamina for long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
