PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, OR seeks a per diem Neonatal physician to provide 24-hour call coverage for neonatal deliveries and resuscitations. The role supports a Level III facility with access to specialty services and transfer coordination.

Required are MD/DO, residency in Family Medicine or Pediatrics, and an unrestricted Oregon license, with Board certification/eligibility and BLS (ACLS preferred).

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree; residency in Family Medicine or Pediatrics.
• Unrestricted Oregon medical license or ability to obtain.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Pediatrics.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or able to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour neonatal call coverage during deliveries and resuscitations.
• Admit and round on newborns, assess newborn status.
• Offer clinical guidance and counseling to patients and families.
• Collaborate with PeaceHealth's Newborn Delivery Center and transfer team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

PeaceHealth is seeking a Per Diem Family Medicine, Pediatric, or Neonatal Physician to provide 24-hour neonatal call coverage in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. In this role, you will respond to deliveries and neonatal resuscitations, admit and round on newborns, assess newborn status, and provide clinical guidance and counseling to patients and families. Physicians will have access to consultation and transfer support through PeaceHealth's Newborn Delivery Center at RiverBend, serving as the regional transfer center for higher-acuity patients. Additional responsibilities include managing emergency neonatal resuscitations and working closely with highly trained Emergency Department nurses and multidisciplinary care teams. The practice is supported by a fully staffed Emergency Department with annual volumes of approximately 11,000-12,000 visits, as well as 24/7 access to laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, hospital medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, OB/GYN, and CRNA services. As part of a Level III Trauma Center, providers benefit from the resources and capabilities of a larger integrated health system while serving the healthcare needs of the local community.

• $149.20 hourly rate
• $1,000 per 24- hour unrestricted call shift
• $250 travel stipend per day
