UVA Health’s NICU is a high‑acuity Level IV unit where Advanced Practice Providers deliver top‑of‑license care to critically ill neonates. You will perform complex procedures, use POCUS for line placement and diagnostics, and collaborate with neonatology, nursing, respiratory therapists, and surgical teams.

This role emphasizes family‑centered care, ongoing professional development, and a structured onboarding with mentorship.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
• License/credentialing requirements per Virginia regulations for APRN/PA.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS/NRP as required for the position.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert, top‑of‑scope neonatal care in a Level IV NICU.
• Perform advanced procedures and use POCUS for line placement and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, and surgical teams.
• Engage in family‑centered care and education for families.
• Maintain documentation and participate in quality improvement.
