Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Neonatology team. This PRN role serves Hillcrest Hospital, Fairview Hospital, Main Campus and Mercy Hospital.

A Master's Degree and Neonatal NP certification are required, with BLS and NRP. APP experience is required, and the incumbent will work across multiple locations, providing primary and specialty neonatal care in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in APRN or PA studies, required upon hire.
• National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Must have APP experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical histories and physicals; collaborate with the health care team.
• Perform and interpret routine diagnostic procedures as credentialed by hospital policy.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by license and hospital policy.
• Educate patients and families about diseases, treatments, and side effects.
• Participate in medical rounds and coordinate care with nursing and other clinicians.
• Refer patients to specialists and ensure smooth transitions of care.
