Job summary

University Hospital in Newark, NJ seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to participate under the Neonatology program leadership and collaborate with the Mother‑Baby Unit, NICU, and Labor & Delivery teams to provide primary care for high-risk newborns.

The APN will work under the Director of Neonatology with Attending Neonatologist and Nursing leadership, following hospital policies and NJ APN standards; BLS and NRP are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Advanced Practice Nurse in New Jersey with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current NJ APN licensure is required and BLS/NRP are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care for high-risk newborns in Neonatology units, Mother‑Baby, NICU, and Labor & Delivery.
• Collaborate with Director of Neonatology, Attending Neonatologist, Nurse Manager, and nursing staff in a multidisciplinary team.
