University of Michigan’s Brandon NICU is expanding and seeks Advanced Practice Professionals (NP or PA) for 0.8 FTE, 2 positions. This Level IV NICU role focuses on delivering high-quality, family-centered neonatal care and supporting education for residents and students.

The Brandon NICU is part of Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor. The pay range is substantial for full-time APPs, with benefits and a strong emphasis on innovation in newborn care.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Michigan and NP specialty certification
• NNP-BC neonatal certification
• Graduate of an accredited NP program
• AHA BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Current DEA license
• One year NICU clinical experience preferred
• PA licensure in Michigan and NCCPA certification
• Michigan Controlled Substance license required
• DEA registration required
• Experience in Level III/IV NICU or neonatology residency/fellowship

Responsabilités

• Under physician supervision, provide comprehensive neonate care in NICU settings
• Perform advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and minor procedures
• Order and interpret tests; prescribe medications and present findings to medical team
• Coordinate neonatal transport and lead retrieval teams as assigned
• Attend high-risk deliveries and lead neonatal resuscitation efforts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure care transitions
• Document patient status, evaluations, and treatments accurately
• Provide consultative support to internal and external providers
• Support education of residents and contribute to quality improvement
• Participate in palliative care and other duties as assigned
