Job summary

America West Medical Transportation, Inc. is hiring drivers to transport wheelchair patients or stretcher patients in specially equipped vehicles. This fast-paced, rewarding role is ideal for a self-starter who will work closely with the team leader.

The Driver will operate a fully loaded vehicle with wheelchair/stretcher access and a GPS system, delivering safe, compassionate service and using transportation software as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required.
• 3 years of professional driving experience required.
• Clean driving record (No more than 1 point).
• Ability to pass a drug test and health screening including TB test or TB chest x-ray.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test.
• Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds.
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English, strong communication skills.
• Ability to drive to various locations.
• Professionalism.
• Ability to use apps and electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle
• Ensure patients are transported safely from their home to place of service and returned home safely.
• Utilize company transportation software
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
• Assume on-call responsibilities
• Effectively communicate with leadership
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
