Job summary

America West Medical Transportation, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a reliable NEMT Driver to transport wheelchair and stretcher patients in fully equipped vehicles, following safety protocols and company policies.

You will operate independently or with a partner, ensure safe pickup and return home, use GPS and transportation software, deliver exceptional patient service, participate in on-call rotations, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required.
• Clean driving record (No more than 1 point).
• Ability to pass a drug test and health screening which includes alcohol, TB skin test and/or TB chest x-ray
• Ability to pass a physical agility test
• Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English, strong communication skills
• Ability to drive to various locations
• Professionalism
• Ability to use apps and electronic devices

Responsibilities

• Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle
• Ensure patients are transported safely from their home to place of service and returned home safely
• Utilize company transportation software
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
• Assume on-call responsibilities
• Effectively communicate with leadership
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
