Job summary

TLC Mobility Transport Services in Parma, OH is seeking a NEMT Driver to operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles while assisting clients before, during, and after transportation. This role combines driving, mobility support, client service, safety, communication, and vehicle care.

Responsibilities include safe client transport, door-through-door assistance, and proper securing of wheelchairs and restraints, with on-going training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Willingness to walk and stand in homes, facilities, hospitals, and outdoors.
• Capable of operating wheelchair securement equipment and assisting with mobility.
• Experience with non-emergency medical transportation is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid or PASS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory clients in TLC vehicles.
• Provide door-through-door assistance from pickup to arrival.
• Assist with wheelchairs, ramps, and mobility equipment within safety limits.
• Secure occupied wheelchairs and passenger restraints.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and staff.
• Complete trip records and vehicle inspections as required.
