Job summary

QTS OF ARIZONA LLC is seeking a Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) Driver II in Phoenix to transport clients to medical appointments and other destinations, ensuring safe, on-time arrivals.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, communicate schedules, and maintain a clean, compliant vehicle per company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Safety- and security-minded; able to read and use GPS and other apps.
• Minimum seven (7) years of driving experience; NEMT experience preferred.

Overview

The Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) Driver II provides transportation for clients to medical appointments, work, errands, school, and other destinations. The role may involve collecting fares from passengers, communicating with passengers, and ensuring arrivals at destinations safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and secure transportation to all passengers, delivering them to locations within the assigned region.
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service to all passengers.
• Communicate effectively with passengers regarding schedules, routes, points of transfer, and other inquiries.
• Use problem-solving skills to deescalate frustrated or unruly passengers when needed.
• Drive assigned routes in adherence with the defined schedule.
• Follow traffic laws and drive safely; report accidents, incidents, or traffic disruptions and follow directions when using alternate routes.
• Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle and provide assistance to and from facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior, including washing the exterior, vacuuming, and sanitizing per company standards.
• Follow state and federal regulations regarding non-emergency transportation.
• Operate wheelchair or stretcher lifts as needed.
• Secure all equipment, including wheelchairs, stretchers, and oxygen tanks, appropriately.
• Follow proper protocol for securing passengers without exception.
• Adhere to and execute all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Safety- and security-minded; able to read and use GPS and other apps.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of driving experience; prior experience as an NEMT driver is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver9s license with a clean driving record.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and complete a medical fitness-for-duty clearance and HPE evaluation.
