School Behavior Aide / Special Education Paraprofessional Full or Part-Time available | Los Angeles, CA

Are you passionate about supporting students with special needs? Do you have experience working with ASD, ADHD, maladaptive behaviors, or aggression? If so, we're looking for a dedicated and skilled Behavior Aide or Special Education Paraprofessional to join a dynamic school team in the Los Angeles area.

Position Details:

  • Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Monday-Friday)
  • Caseload: Students with behavioral and special education needs
  • Pay Range: $24-$35/hr (Based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with behavioral and learning challenges.
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of school professionals.
  • Assist students in managing emotions, improving social skills, and staying engaged in learning.
  • Support teachers in maintaining a structured and positive classroom environment.
  • Redirect maladaptive behaviors and provide crisis intervention when needed.
  • Maintain accurate data on student behavior and progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in schools or pediatrics (Highly Preferred).
  • Background working with ASD, ADHD, aggression, or maladaptive behaviors.
  • Current or previously certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and behavior management skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Meet at least one of the following:
  • 1-2 years experience in applied behavior analysis, school settings, ABA clinics, or special education/classroom settings.
  • Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and committed to student success.
