Job Summary

Full Time - 40 hours/week. Day Shift


As a Necropsy Tech I, you will have the opportunity to learn and perform necropsy functions and generate data on various types of studies. You will prepare and review documentation and perform quality control review of study data. You will contribute to department operations improvement in areas such as process development, SOP revisions, department inspections and equipment maintenance.

Essential Duties:
-Perform necropsies/autopsies on rodents and rabbits
-Collect/evaluate organs/tissues from rodents and rabbits
-Perform c-sections and related maternal/pup evaluations on rodents and rabbits
-Perform blood collections via vena cava, aorta, etc. on laboratory animals
-Perform specialized techniques such as whole body perfusions, neuro-dissections, etc on laboratory animals

The pay rate for this position is $21.70 an hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree B.S. or equivalent in a biological science or a High School diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: Minimum of 1-year laboratory experience strongly preferred
