This 1099 consultant role offers a competitive daily rate, flexibility, and the opportunity to impact student literacy across Nebraska.

You will model instruction, provide feedback, and coach teachers in foundational literacy, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and writing, using data to guide interventions.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Secondary ELA standards.
• Strong background in early literacy, structured literacy, or science of reading.
• Experience coaching teachers or leading literacy initiatives.
• Ability to analyze and use student data effectively.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Nebraska teachers in strengthening literacy instruction through modeling, feedback, collaboration, and strategic professional learning.
• Deliver high‑quality professional development sessions.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable, constructive feedback.
• Model lessons or co‑teaching to demonstrate best practices.
• Coach teachers in foundational literacy, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.
• Analyze student data to identify instructional needs and support interventions.
• Collaborate with school teams to improve instructional planning and outcomes.
• Build relationships that promote trust, growth, and sustained improvement.
