Job summary

Bomgaars in Sioux City, IA is seeking a friendly cashier with retail experience to join our team for evening and rotating weekend shifts. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and help keep the checkout area organized.

Responsibilities include scanning and bagging items, processing returns, promoting loyalty programs, and providing outstanding customer service. This position offers a shift that includes evenings and weekends, with a weekend premium where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, correct change, debit/credit cards, and checks).
• Scan and bag items for customers.
• Process customer returns and exchanges according to store policy.
• Promote store loyalty programs/special promotions/coupon redemption.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area.
• Balance cash drawers at the end of the shift.
• Handling phone calls.
