In the role of NE/IA Drinking Water Project Manager, you'll be responsible for:
  1. Leading multidisciplinary teams to develop facility planning documents, process designs, detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water treatment plant upgrades (including lime softening, membrane treatment, disinfection, chemical feed systems), water supply improvements (such as wells and well field development), and distribution system infrastructure.
  2. Managing the administration of construction contracts during project implementation.
  3. Supporting marketing efforts and managing client relationships, primarily in Iowa and Nebraska, to expand our drinking water portfolio.
  4. Working directly with clients on process design, establishing design methods, report preparation, equipment sizing and selection, reviewing specifications, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  5. Coordinating work of staff engineers and CADD/BIM technicians to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
  6. Communicating effectively with facility owners, establishing client relations, and contributing to client development, marketing, contracting, and design activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 years of related experience, including municipal water planning, design, and project management.
  • Strong technical background in process design for water treatment facilities.
  • Business development and strategic planning skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple assignments and leading teams.
  • Preference for local candidates.
  • Active participation in municipal drinking water industry associations is a plus.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 7 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
