Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a NDT - Ultrasonic Inspector/ Trainee, Level I and Level II (3rd Shift) to perform testing using specific techniques on aerospace products. This role involves knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, equipment setup, and NDT methods to process parts for inspection following specific operating procedures. The inspector interprets and evaluates test results. Initially, this role will be on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, and will transition to a Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat 10-hour shifts in the coming months.

Salary: $27.50 - $37/hr DOE

Responsibilities
  • Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection based on applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Accurately record results and data from nondestructive tests and evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, actively contributing to the company's safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Once certified and trained, work multiple inspection cells simultaneously.
Skills / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Level 1 or 2 in UT inspection is a significant plus.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and present information clearly, take accurate measurements, and edit work for correctness.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Good vision, either natural or corrected, with the ability to pass annual vision exams.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
