MISTRAS Group is seeking a qualified NDT UT II Shear Wave Technician, full-time, in Savannah, GA. The ideal candidate will perform advanced non-destructive examinations using ultrasonic shear wave techniques to detect, evaluate, and document discontinuities in welds, base materials, and structural components.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, interpreting results, and ensuring compliance with ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, and customer requirements. Travel to job sites may be required.

Competenze

• Current Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) certification per ASNT SNT-TC-1A/NAS-410/ CP-189.
• Demonstrated manual shear wave UT inspections experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures and specs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections using shear wave techniques on welds, plate, pipe, vessels and structures.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results per codes, standards and customer specs.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate UT equipment pre- and during inspections.
• Identify, size, characterize, and document discontinuities using shear wave methods.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain calibration records.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
