Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an X-ray inspection technician to support the X-ray Inspection operation by processing investment castings per IMRS specifications and technique sheets. The role requires attention to paperwork and accuracy in inspection criteria.

Ideal candidates have a NAS 410 Level I RT inspector certification and 2+ years in film/digital X-ray techniques, with aerospace or foundry NDT experience highly regarded. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Level I with film and digital X-ray techniques.
• Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
• NDT experience in a foundry is strongly preferred.
• Certified or qualified NAS 410 Level I RT inspector.
• Additional method certifications desired but not required.

SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent in life experience.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Level I is a plus working with film and digital X-ray techniques..

Aerospace industry experience is a plus.

NDT Experience in a Foundry is strongly preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS

Certified or qualified to be certified to NAS 410 Level I RT inspector.

Additional method certifications desired but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
