Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Adhere to quality processes, including performing process system performance checks to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Interpret approved work instructions to process parts and document results.
- Perform basic NDT support tasks (staging work, etc.) as per NAS410 - 5.1.3.
- Work in a team environment, follow instructions, and assist others as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Skills:
- Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions.
- Ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, and decimals.
- Use basic inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Read and interpret work instructions, basic prints, and dimensions.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Experience & Education:
- 0 to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, prior military experience, or technical certification/degree.
- GED or High School diploma.
- Successful completion of formal classroom training and On-The-Job Training hours in NDT methods.
- Ability to pass Vision, Written, and Practical examinations for certification.
Working Conditions:
- Indoor manufacturing environment with constant exposure to moderate noise.
- Conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if scheduled.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry items up to 35 pounds repeatedly.
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and work at heights for up to 12 hours.
- Manipulate objects with hands, operate overhead cranes safely, reach above and below shoulder level.
- Work around forklifts and machinery, wear PPE, and have visual acuity to detect flaws.
