Job summary

HiFyve in Watertown, WI is seeking an NDT Technician with RT Level II to inspect castings and welds on 3rd shift or 2nd shift. You will process film and digital radiographs, interpret results, and support Nadcap accreditation efforts.

Qualifications include RT Level II, high school diploma/GED, and X-ray experience. The role requires attention to detail, independence, and proficiency with MS Office; benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Current RT Level II certification (SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410 or NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271) required
• High school diploma or GED; post-high-school NDT or technical education preferred
• Able to pass written, practical and near-vision acuity exams
• DDA / CR digital X-ray experience or CR/DDA Level II a plus
• FPI or MPI certification a plus
• Works independently, follows written and verbal instructions, high attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic inspection of castings and welds, including technique selection and part positioning
• Process and analyze film and digital radiographic images
• Interpret results and make pass/fail calls against codes, standards and customer specifications
• Review new customer orders with Engineering to set the right NDT processing
• Maintain the radiographic inspection areas and equipment
• Keep accurate inspection records and process logs
• Take part in quality accreditation (Nadcap) activities

Schedule: 3rd Shift 9p-5:30a Sun-Thu (biggest need) or 2nd Shift 1p-9p | start times have some flexibility

Pay: $27.81 to $41.71/hour depending on experience and certifications

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A precision investment casting manufacturer serving aerospace, defense and energy customers is growing its Nadcap-accredited NDT department. The lab runs film radiography, digital radiography (DDA, CR and automated DDA), fluorescent penetrant (FPI) and magnetic particle (MPI) inspection, and the company keeps investing in new technology, automation and facilities.
