Element has immediate openings for NDT Ultrasonic Testing (UT) technicians to support our fast growing Aerospace Non Destructive Testing business.

Salary: $21-30/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

Additional $1/hour pay for shift working (working on 2nd shift from 1-9:30pm)

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing on materials, components, and structures according to specific codes and procedures.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results and provide recommendations for further action.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment and tools including scanners, ultrasonic equipment, and eddy current equipment.
  • Create test reports and maintain documentation of all test results.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide technical support to engineers and other professionals in the field.
  • Collaborate with other technicians in testing and interpretation of test results.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and development opportunities.

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Must have completed classroom NDT UT Training Hours
  • Willing to work from 1-9:30pm Monday through Friday, willing to work overtime up to 4 hours/day. Must be willing to work Saturdays up to 6 hours at least twice a month.
  • Technical/mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency preferred
  • Able to prioritize critical work activities and use time effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willing to learn new processes and procedures
